We can now offer a full range of Titanium Wire & Bar from Mill Source. www.tfa-filinox.com Information Whilst the major fluctuations in Nickel experienced in recent years has passed, we are continually faced with very difficult market conditions, where customers require more efficient, & cost-effective materials. This is one of the reasons why Fagersta Stainless, in close cooperation with Outokumpu & Sandvik, have developed & adapted the "Lean Duplex"range of Wire Rod & Drawn Wires. The materials are LDX 2101* & SAF 2304** where both fundamentally have a low Nickel content & a slightly altered Chemical composition. Whilst retaining & improving on certain physical qualities, such as: Great Strength  I  Very Good Corrosion Resistance  I  Good Formability  Good Machinability  I  Good Weldability LDX2101*   they also offer a  more cost effective & stable price level, when compared to the Austentic materials that they are comparable to LDX 2101* (304L) & SAF 2304** (316L). *Registered Trademark of Outokumpu ** Registered Trademark of Sandvik Another consideration for a lower cost alternative product is the 200 Series range of materials: 201, 202, 203, 204Cu available from Panchmahal. Again they possess a low Nickel content and a modified Chemical composition, and dependant on the application or usage, can prove a capable alternative. Unlike the Lean Duplex range, this range of materials is not marketed as a direct replacement to the Austentic 300 series of products.
